GGLO re-positioned the once-bustling restaurant and bar at the Semiahmoo Resort through a substantial design renovation of both spaces. A cohesive vision for both the bar and restaurant to exhibit genuine aesthetics and details spurred the design team to create spaces that felt connected but stood on their own. The design creates a layer of modern ambiance that respects the history and existing forms.

Packers Oyster Bar has been transformed into a social theater from which to absorb the stunning views of the surrounding waters. The mood is reminiscent of the site’s historic cannery and is reflected in the dark steel with patina at the fireplace surround. Guest comfort was paramount when renovating the space – reflected in the cozy atmosphere of the bar’s custom steel displays and antique oak wood flooring.

The dining experience in the Pierside Kitchen reflects a genuine and rich seaside spirit as well as a refined culinary diversity. Materials that evoke the essence of the surrounding beach shores with coastal colors deliver a setting full of unforgettable moments. A private dining room was added with a see-through fireplace into the main dining area beyond. Up-to-date finishes, lighting and furniture create an appealing atmosphere that is unpretentious and authentic.
