David thrives in all aspects of architectural practice, but he particularly enjoys the synergy that develops in an integrated project team over the life of a project. David’s 25 years of experience includes a wide variety of project types: retail, office, institutional and mixed-use residential projects with most of his work at GGLO achieving LEED Certification. In addition to a thorough knowledge of all standard project phases, David also has experience with existing building assessments, post occupancy building performance evaluations, Energy Star certifications and programming.
As a Senior Associate, David assists other project teams with document reviews and technical issues and is active with the firm’s Associate, Project Manager, and Sustainable Design groups which seek to optimize project delivery methods and advance our knowledge of sustainable design. On a community level, David was past Co-Chair for AIA Seattle’s Committee on the Environment and is currently a regular volunteer for his church and children’s activities.
Away from work, David enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel, golf, skiing and triathlon.
