Blake Williams

Senior Associate

Before becoming an architect, Blake was a musician. Deservedly, one of his most memorable experiences was playing, once, under the baton of Leonard Bernstein at Tanglewood.

Blake has over 36 years of architectural experience, primarily in design working on a wide array of project types including large civic structures, educational facilities, master plans, mixed-use urban structures, hospitality and boutique single-family projects. Before joining GGLO, Blake’s work in Michigan and Massachusetts included graduate level teaching concurrent with professional practice. Blake has lectured in the academic setting and professionally. During his formative years, he lived in Rome, Italy for a year and received a travel grant to study in Japan.

Blake approaches each project with passion and fresh curiosity. A careful listener, Blake combines his broad understanding of architecture with the project constraints to achieve his client’s goals. He has received design awards for his work. Blake served on the City of Seattle Design Review Board program and has been a juror for the AIA Honor Awards in Michigan.
