“I've lived here for almost a year and a half and love this place. Staff is great and helpful, living spaces are great, gym is bigger than most apartment gyms and the views are fantastic.”

Richard P, Resident

Located within the heart of the University District, AVA was designed for urban-minded 20-somethings who seek vibrant neighborhoods to dwell in and living environments that engage self-expression, self-discovery and opportunities for social interaction. At its core, all the amenities at AVA foster social interaction and express AvalonBay Communities’ AVA brand through bold color, eclectic materials and quirky design details. Amenities include “The Hive”, designed for collaborative work and fosters a buzz and vibe of creation; The “Workshop”, designed as a war room for student projects or art creation; a “Flex Space”, designed for gaming, lounging or a fun night of karaoke; and the “Chill Room”, which draws residents in seek of refuge from the activity, outdoor connection and views of the city.

Amenity spaces were designed to be a collaborative work environment for students. Residents enjoy access to business amenities, “phone booths” conference rooms, kitchenette and stadium seating for presentations; and the co-working movement is influenced by today’s economy; and well suited for UW students, giving them choices off campus to study, work and collaborate.
