We don’t normally dwell on the past,
but you have to start somewhere.
Since 1986, GGLO has worked in the Pacific Northwest and beyond on projects of all kinds. Ask our founding partners—G, G, L or O—and they'll tell you that it's been a quick two decades. Time flies when you're having fun.
We're not ones to pull out the slide projector and drag everyone down memory lane, but we do have several worthwhile "snapshots" that speak volumes about who we are today. Here are some.
January 1986
GGLO opens for business. Four guys, one very small office.
June 1987
The founding four soon discover that "integrated design" is a really good idea. We add interior design to our in-house services.
April 1989
The award-winning Inn at Langley opens to beautiful views and mountains of praise.
June 1995
We win the Mayor of Seattle's Small Business Award. Small business with big ideas.
November 1999
Landscape architecture comes to GGLO. How did we ever get along without them?
June 2001
GGLO completes its first residential high-rise project. Things are looking up. Way up.
September 2005
Alcyone earns our first LEED® Certification. GGLO adds another G (Green) to our name.
February 2007
In partnership with Triad Development, Foster + Partners of London, and Atelier Dreiseitl of Germany, GGLO is awarded the Seattle Civic Square project. My, how we've grown.
...tomorrow
An old Irish saying states, "There are fish in the sea better than have ever been caught."
Let's go fishing.
